I.

What the participant does

A parent or prospective godparent purchases the course for $34.95, chooses their track — Parent or Godparent — and reads eight chapters covering the theology, rites, and responsibilities of Baptism.

They then sit a fifteen-question examination. On passing (80% or higher) a certificate is generated in their name and made available immediately as a PDF and as a public verification URL.

They may forward the PDF to your office themselves, or ask us to send it directly. Either way, the verification URL on the certificate is authoritative — the PDF is a courtesy.

Syllabus & CCC alignment

Each chapter is footnoted to specific Catechism paragraphs. Nothing is invented; everything is cited.

Examination methodology

A 60-question bank; each participant receives a 15-question examination — twelve questions covering all eight chapters and three specific to their track. Passing threshold is 80%.

Each attempt draws a fresh set at random from the bank, and answer options are shuffled on every attempt — no two examinations are identical. Retakes are unlimited. There is no timer.

Completion is per person, not per household. A named certificate is issued only to a participant who has personally passed, and the name locks permanently at issuance.

Acceptance & refund

We do not claim universal acceptance. Some dioceses require preparation at the parish itself; some pastors prefer to conduct it personally. Both are entirely proper.

If a Parish Ready certificate is presented to your office and you decline it — for any reason, stated or unstated — the participant is entitled to a full refund of the $34.95 fee. They contact us; we refund within one business day. No pressure is placed on your office.

If you would prefer Parish Ready not be recommended in your parish at all, write to pastors@parishready.com and we will note your parish. Participants from your parish will see a notice recommending they contact you directly before purchasing.

Who we are & how to reach us

Parish Ready, LLC is an independent lay initiative. We are not a diocesan office, a religious order, or a canonical publisher, and we do not claim any imprimatur. The curriculum is drawn plainly from the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Second Edition, with paragraph-level citations you can audit line by line in §II above.

For questions, corrections, or to request a printed syllabus, write to pastors@parishready.com. We respond within one business day.

Written for the parents and godparents in your pews. Built for the offices that receive them.
